We have positions available at the pools, for group aqua classes, maintenance and for childcare. The following are the positions we currently are hiring:
Part-Time Lifeguards
This position is responsible for lifeguarding the pool, ensuring the safety of all members and guests, enforcing pool rules, and implementing emergency response plans as needed.
Part-time weekday early morning and lunch time shifts available!
Will train to receive Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED!
Free Membership to the WCC!
Pay Range -$16.50 Per Hour

Part-Time Water Safety Instructor
As a Water Safety Instructor at the Whitin Community Center you will be responsible for teaching various American Red Cross Instructional Swim Programs.
Part time late afternoon/evening shifts during the week and Saturday mornings/early afternoon shifts available.
Will train if already have Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certifications!
Free membership to the WCC!
Pay Rate – $17.50 per hour

Pool Operations Manager
The Pool Operations Manager oversees and coordinates all aspects of operating the pools including managing lifeguards and maintaining both pools and their spaces. This includes cleaning and maintaining the operating equipment for the Original Pool and the Competition Pool and their pool decks, as well as the chemical balancing of both pools. The Pool Operations Manager also manages all required inventory and supplies needed for the maintenance of both pools and decks, as well as managing and securing all necessary safety equipment. The Pool Operations Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all lifeguards are trained, properly certified, and scheduled for their shifts.
Full time Position available hours to be determined but may include some nights and weekends.

School Aged Childcare Group Leader
The Group Leader in Blackstone Valley Children’s Place is responsible for assisting with the creation and implementation of a school aged child care program that aids a child in their social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth. Group Leaders are responsible for planning and implementing daily programs, supervising program participants, behavior management and program development.
Pay Rate – $16-$18 per hour

EEC Certified Preschool Teacher
The Teacher in Blackstone Valley Children’s Place participates in the planning and implementation of a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate program and assesses the children’s progress in all areas of development.
Pay Rate- $18 – $21 per hour depending on certification(s) and/or experience

Part-Time Aerobics Instructor
The Aerobics Instructor instructs quality group fitness classes, provides excellent customer service to members in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness in accordance with WCC policies and procedures. Must be Group Exercise Certified. Additional certifications, such as Spinning or any other discipline, is a plus. Instructors wanted for morning cardio, senior, or aqua classes.
Pay Rate – $21 to $23 per hour depending on certification(s) and/or experience
