We have positions available at the pools, for group aqua classes, maintenance and for childcare. The following are the positions we currently are hiring:

Full- Time Assistant Aquatics Director

As the Assistant Aquatics Director you will be in charge of overseeing and coordinating all aspects of American Red Cross (ARC) Swim lessons for the WCC including scheduling of lessons, registration and communication with participants. The Assistant Aquatics Director also manages all Water Safety Instructors & Lifeguard staffing of lessons, communications related to lessons for families, assessment/evaluation of swimmers, and ensures that all lessons are executed enthusiastically, safely, and securely within the guidelines of the ARC. The Assistant Aquatics Director will also provide additional programming and staffing support of childcare, youth and adult swimming programs.

Part-Time Water Safety Instructors

As a Water Safety Instructor of the Whitin Community Center, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of the safety and instruction of all participants in our Red Cross Swim Lessons. Free training is available with job commitment.

Part-Time Lifeguards

As a Lifeguard of the Whitin Community Center, you will be entrusted with the responsibility for Lifeguarding our pools, ensuring the safety of all members and guests, enforcing pool rules, and implementing emergency response plans as needed. Free training is available with job commitment.

Full-Time BVCP PRESCHOOL TEACHER

The Teacher in Blackstone Valley Children’s Place participates in the planning and implementation of a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate program and assesses the children’s progress in all areas of development. Must be EEC Teacher Qualified.

Part-Time CUSTODIAN

The Part-Time Custodian performs general cleaning and upkeep of facility and grounds as assigned 8-10 hours per week. This position is responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing in assigned areas. The custodian will also perform routine maintenance as assigned and assist with maintenance jobs requiring more than 1 person.
